Feb 5, 2012 - Paddys Ranges State Park

Ian carrying buckets of water.
For the next 2 weeks we stayed at a free camp at Paddys Ranges. Located just a few km's from Maryborough Victoria.  Detecting was on the agenda, we looked & looked & looked, but there's a lot of Victoria mixed in with the gold.

These photos are of the water boy, filling our tanks.

February 1, 2012 - Bendigo

One of the statues in the park
We left Beechworth & headed for Bendigo. A very old gold mining town with lots of character.
Town Hall

Also this magnificent cathedral.
It takes up a whole block in the city.

Bendigo also has a talking tram that takes you on a tour through the city, very interesting.

This fountain is amazing, located in the centre
of a main intersection.

One of the many statues

Inside of the tram, immaculately restored
